on the Rhine River

Our adventure begins with a drive into the beautiful Rhine Valley, to the famous wine town of Rüdesheim. Here we board our river cruise boat for a short ride to the opposite side of the river and continue on to Castle of Rheinstein, now adorned in Christmas decorations and holiday splendor. The Lady of the house will welcome us with a steaming mug of hot mulled wine, made from the region’s grape varietals and take in panoramic view over the most romantic part of the Rhine River while enjoying the amazing flavors that were harvested in the valley below. The tour of the castle will delve into the history of Lords, Ladies & Knights in one of the areas grand castles.

After exploring, we will head back down to board our riverboat and enjoy the view from the river. History and tradition make themselves known as we cruise along seeing the faces of other grand fortresses tucked along the edge of the Rhine. We return to port in Rüdesheim and from here, invite you to experience the magic of the Christmas season by strolling through the famous Christmas Market of the Nations. Taste more of the famous local mulled wines paired with the delicious regional food, tasting the much-praised Rhine romance in every single bite. Rüdesheim invites more than 100 vendors to present their wares; ensuring visitors will find the perfect holiday gift!
