Wine on Wheels

Today is all about German wine traditions, scenic covered wagon rides, and tastings of the region's finest vintages. We begin in Bad Dürkheim, a town located in the heart of the wine country and famous for its lavish festivals, the world’s largest wine barrel, and an exceptionally mild climate—the essential ingredient for producing high-quality wines!

Our day in one of Germany's largest wine regions starts with a leisurely stroll through town. We will pass the world’s largest wine barrel, built to hold an astonishing 1.7 million liters of wine, as well as the Saline. This unique open-air inhalation facility features mineral-rich salt that evaporates into the air, offering a refreshing and healing experience for the respiratory system.

Upon arriving at the vineyard, we will greated with a glass of Secco and board a traditional covered wagon. As we ride through the stunning vineyards, we will learn firsthand about the area's award-winning wines, the local climate, and the rich soil that creates the complex bouquets poets have long described as "liquid gold." As we pass different grape varieties, our vintner will introduce them with a curated tasting paired with local snacks, allowing us to savor the flavors while taking in the lush, green scenery.

Back in town, we will board our bus and relocate to another charming wine village. There, we will round out the perfect day with a hearty traditional meal and, perhaps, one last glass of wine from a celebrated local vineyard.
