Christmas at Castle Satzvey

with Medieval Magic Christmas Market

Together we travel to one of the most beautiful moated castles in the Rhineland area known as Satzvey Castle. On arrival, we enjoy a guided tour through and around the imposing castle, which was first mentioned in documents in 1396. Afterwards we stroll along the historical but also very romantical Christmas market surrounded by the old castle walls.

Plenty of free time will be available throughout the day to explore all kinds of traders and craftsmen offering their handmade goods at the castle grounds, such as wooden toys, Christmas decorations and all kinds of culinary specialties. Let yourself be surprised and seduced by the scents of the freshly baked cookies! Shop for Christmas presents or simply gift yourself with those beautiful nick-knacks.

For the last fifteen years the Castle has presented a nativity play with very detailed costumes and scenes that are brought to life by the ringing of the Proclamator's bells. The little ones can visit Santa in his chambers and tell him about their biggest dreams and wishes for Christmas while his precious little elves are dancing about and preparing gifts for Christmas Eve.

Before we head back to the bus, turn around for a last glimpse at the festively decorated castle brightly shining in all its Christmas magic at night.

Required Documents

All participants must be in possession of a valid US tourist passport during the tour.

Child Safety

German law requires ALL child passengers, regardless of size or age, to have a seat on a bus and use an approved safety seat provided by the customer.
