Travel with us to the beautiful Innsbruck and marvel at the majestic Austrian Alps that frame the city like natural skyscrapers, visible from almost every corner in town. Our first stop will be the Swarovski Crystal World Museum and factory outlet where you can buy crystal jewelry, figurines and see the “world’s biggest crystal” (137 pounds) and the “crystalscope,” an enormous kaleidoscope made of Swarovskis. Upon arrival in Innsbruck, you will have free time to explore the all the important sights such as the Old Town, Stadtturm, St. Jacobs Cathedral, Hofburg Imperial Palace and Hofkirche.Innsbruck also hosts up to five Weinachtsmärkte (Christmas markets) over the course of the season, all offering a slightly different ambiance. The crisp alpine air and scenery is the perfect setting to warm yourself with a mug of Glühwein (mulled wine) accompanied by a handful of candied almonds. Gem enthusiasts will delight in the 5-meter tall Swarovski Tree in the Marktplatz and the vivid mountain crystal on Maria-Thresien-Strasse. Take a scenic journey on the on the hybrid funicular (not included) up to Hungerburg, passing stations designed by architect Zaha Hadid ending at a market with one of the most panoramic view over this jewel of a city.
