Some speak of myths and fairy tales, others of geysers, northern lights, and volcanoes. On this journey we will hunt for the magical Northern Lights, walk between continental plates at the Golden Circle, witness exploding geysers, stand by the thundering Gullfoss, watch giants of the deep ocean, and unwind in the milky-blue waters of the world-famous Blue Lagoon.
Day 1: Travel Day
A morning departure from Frankfurt takes us directly to Reykjavik. Upon arrival, we will transfer to our hotel for check-in and enjoy some ample free time this afternoon to catch a first glimpse of the vibrant capital city before gathering for an exclusive welcome dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Reykjavik Highlights & Northern Lights
After breakfast, our Iceland adventure awaits! We join our local guide on a walking tour through Iceland’s capital city. We will learn about Iceland’s early history at the Anarholl Statue, see Laugavegur main street, Austurvollur Square, Lake Tjornin, Hallgrim’s Church, take in plenty of street art, and more.
As night falls, the true magic begins as we venture out into the crisp Icelandic dark to chase the breathtaking, dancing colors of the northern lights. Iceland’s proximity to the Arctic Circle makes it a prime global hotspot for highly active Aurora Borealis displays.
Day 3: The Golden Circle Icons
After breakfast, we explore Iceland's legendary 300-kilometer route, home to three world-famous natural wonders. Walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates at Thingvellir National Park, witness the Strokkur geyser erupt every few minutes in the Haukadalur geothermal valley, and marvel at the thunderous, rainbow-crowned cascades of the mighty Gullfoss waterfall.
During our journey through this landscapes of steam and ice, you'll feel the raw, untamed power of the Earth beneath your feet. It is a day where ancient history meets dramatic geology, offering breathtaking views that stretch all the way to the majestic Langjökull glacier.
Day 4: Giants of the Deep & Blue Lagoon Serenity
Iceland is one of the world's premier whale-watching destinations, home to up to 24 species. Today after breakfast, we set sail out into the coastal waters for a rare chance to encounter majestic humpbacks, minkes, or even orcas up close against a stunning shoreline.
Afterward, relax in the world-famous Blue Lagoon. Soak in its milky-blue, mineral-rich geothermal waters—a perfect natural oasis to rejuvenate your skin and completely unwind.
Day 5: Farewell to the Island of Fire & Ice
Enjoy your final morning in Iceland before making your way to the Airport for your flight back home. Take a moment to reflect on your incredible memories—from the neon colors of the northern lights to the dramatic geologic wonders and the majestic giants of the deep.
