COVID-19 FAQ

Impacts on the RTT Tour Program

RTT is working hard to put together new and exciting trips that will take you to less crowded, exclusive destinations and provide safe sightseeing opportunities. The itineraries of these trips will be focused on providing unique and exciting experiences that explore food, culture and destinations in a way that allows for social distancing appropriate and new safety measures to be implemented.
How do I book a tour?
Our office is currently closed to the public. You can book your tickets by phone Mon-Fri from 10:00 – 17:00. Tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis with sales limited to 40 passengers (80% capacity) to allow for social distancing on the buses. To book your tickets please call: 06371-477925 -or- 06371 477979
Why are there only a few weeks of tours scheduled in advance?
As travel rules and restrictions are constantly changing, we must be fluid with the conditions around us and this prevents us from advertising months in advance as we have in the past. As our new trips and departure dates become available, they will be published on our Calendar and Facebook page. We also offer Private Tours to approved destinations for groups between 20 – 40 passengers, click here for more information
Why are the destinations and number of tours limited?
We will make all efforts to offer tours as travel restrictions, safety and the quality of travel permit. Our tours will only be operated if they can be run with the highest level of safety to destinations that will offer a positive travel experience and meets your expectations. We want very much to share the best Europe has to offer via our tour programs, but we want to make sure when you arrive at a location, you will be safe, that the sights you expect to see are accessible and that local restrictions do not limit your overall enjoyment.
Why is a tour that RTT is advertising going to a Red / No Go Zone?
We are monitoring Zone Colors closely and will not allow a scheduled tour to departure if the primary destination is located in a red zone. RTT will make all efforts to run tours as scheduled according to their listed itineraries. However, short notice adjustments to itineraries may be made in order to be in compliance with the Department of Airforce issued General Order, avoids red zones and ensure a tours departure. Any substitutions made, will be planned in advance in order to prevent sacrificing the overall spirit and quality of the tour.
Why can’t young children participate on the tours?
The minimum age for participants on our tours is 6 years old. We have always strived to offer family friendly tours, but current circumstances and restrictions beyond our control do not allow for us to include children under 6 years old.
How are you keeping the tour buses clean and safe?
Our buses will be thoroughly disinfected after every journey and hand sanitizer will be available on the bus. We also recommend you bring your own hand sanitizer or personal cleansing products for use outside of the bus. Before boarding the bus, your hands must be disinfected using the sanitizer provided by Bus Company and your mandatory protective nose & mouth cover (face mask, not provided) put on. The face mask must be worn at all times while on board the bus and we require that you stay in your pre-assigned seats. For the duration of the bus ride the consumption of snacks, food or drinks is not permitted, and the toilet will remain closed. Brief stops will be made on longer trips to allow for bathroom breaks.
Special Note
