Halloween Special

Frankenstein’s Haunted Spook-tacular

Halloween Special Event

Enjoy a night of fright and delight at the legendary Frankenstein Castle where RTT will take you on a journey into a world of fright, fear and Halloween fun!  This infamous 12th century castle is located on the foothills of the Langenberg and is part of a series of castles and ruins on the western edge of the Odenwald.  On normal days, Frankenstein Castle is popular for hiking, cycling and the beautiful views from the panorama restaurant.  But tonight, it will be transformed into a dark palace, providing the perfect spooky backdrop for an evening of haunted Halloween horror.

During our journey into the foreboding countryside, we’ll get a jump start on the festivities with some Trick or Treat fun.  If you don’t survive the impending evening of evil, this might be the last meal you eat!  So be sure to come ready with your costume and a few tricks up your sleave – they might just save your life!

When we arrive, you will see this year’s theme was inspired by everyone’s worst nightmare come true.  Awaiting you at Frankenstein Castle is the most plague-infected village in all of Europe, overrun by monsters and creatures who want nothing less than to drag you into ruin. The castles ancient walls, scared by time and the horrors that have taken place here, may echo the whispers of the dead to you, sending shivers crawling up your spine. Surrounded by the old castle ruins you will walk through twelve different scare zones where more than 100 creatures are just waiting to terrify you.  A face to face encounter with a blood soaked, plague infected ghoul is inevitable, be prepared!  This will be an adrenalin pumping immersion into your darkest thoughts and fears and is sure to make the blood run cold in your veins…

Should you come out of all of this unscathed, the party is on!  The castle courtyard will offer four party tents where you can mix, mingle and purchase food and beverages, so be sure to bring cash Euro.  Spend the rest of the evening enjoying this festive atmosphere, exploring the castle grounds and meeting new friends and fiends in a worry free environment where all participants have been vaccinated against our current plague!  Before the night is through, we will have our costume throw down with the RTT “Catwalk of Horrors” and provide everyone a chance to strut their stuff!  The scariest and most ooze coated outfit will be crowned as the winner and rewarded with a special “a taste of the stars” prize.

Frankenstein Castle could not be more fitting for such a devilish occasion and inspiration for the worst monsters imaginable, all eagerly anticipating your visit!  We invite you to join us this adventure to the most famous and oldest Halloween spectacle in all Germany!

Halloween Costumes
& What to Wear

This occasion calls for costumes and everyone to be “dressed to kill,” with the most fiendishly creative ensemble being awarded a special prize!  Just remember, this is an open air event where you will be walking on outdoor surfaces, so comfortable, stable foot ware and considering the weather should be part of your plan!  To preserve the castle and your safety, high heels are not permitted.
