Day 1: Frankfurt - Mallorca
An early morning departure from Frankfurt Airport takes us directly to Mallorca, where we travel to our hotel and get settled in. The afternoon is yours to relax, freshen up, embrace the early spring warmth, explore the local surroundings and check out the Hotel amenities (SPA, Pools, etc.) before we regroup for dinner provided at the hotel.
Day 2: Glorious Perspectives, Dragon Caves & Spanish Pearls
We start with a hearty breakfast provided by the Hotel, fueling us for a day of exploration led by our local guide. We'll immediately immerse ourselves in the season's highlight: the breathtaking almond blossoms. The route from Lluc Major to Cala Pi is renowned for its stunning vistas, offering photographers a dreamscape of delicate pink blossoms contrasted against the azure sky.
The afternoon is all about Caves & Pearls. Porto Cristo is an old fishing village and home to the well-known Dragon Caves. Here we will take a tour through the world-famous cave system with breathtaking limestone formations that have been shaped underground over millions of years. To round off the day, we stop for a visit at factory where the world-famous “Perlas Majorica” pearls are produced. Dinner is provided again at our resort Hotel.
Day 3: Palma, the Balearic Capital
After a satisfying breakfast provided at the Hotel, prepare for an exciting day exploring Palma, the island's vibrant capital. Visible from afar is the iconic La Seu Cathedral, a 13th-century masterpiece. More than just a building, it embodies the heart and soul of the Mallorcan identity, inspiring pride in their rich history. Prepare to be awestruck by its architectural superlatives and consider it one of the world's most magnificent cathedrals - a truly breathtaking total work of art. We'll delve into its history, marvel at its grandeur, and uncover the secrets held within its ancient walls. Get ready to be captivated by the majesty of Palma! Dinner is provided again at our resort Hotel.
Day 4: Rugged Cliffs, High Peaks & Picturesque Wooden Railway
Prepare for an unforgettable adventure through the dramatic landscapes of Mallorca's north and west, exploring by motor coach, train, and boat! We'll traverse wild, incomparable scenery, from soaring cliffs plunging over 300 meters to lush valleys teeming with ancient olive trees. Our destination: the breathtaking La Calobra bay, accessible only by a thrilling high mountain pass or by sea.
From there, we'll venture into the awe-inspiring Torrente de Pareis, a magnificent gorge reaching depths of up to 200 meters. A 45-minute boat trip from La Calobra to Soller offers stunning perspectives of the rugged coastline and the majestic Puig Major, Mallorca's highest peak at 1,445 meters. Finally, we'll ascend the mountain range aboard the charming, historic wooden railway that has graced the Soller line since 1912.
