Strasbourg Christmas Markets • €59

Join us on this festive trip to Strasbourg and the oldest Christmas market in France, fondly called Christkindelmarkt or “Market of the Infant Jesus." During the Advent season, Strasbourg is warmly lit with the nostalgic glow of thousands of lanterns. Enjoy the scents of mulled wine “vin chaud," mixed with other French specialties while strolling the streets bringing the warm and generous Alsatian Christmas spirit back to life. Different traditional markets are located everywhere the eye can see, for example a Christmas Child’s paradise and the Petite France invite you to explore the variety of wares, French craftsmanship and holiday decorations. This year as a bonus, France is inviting Portugal as a guest country village, don’t miss out on their distinctive charms and traditions.

The city of Strasbourg is regarded as the bridge of unity between modern France and Germany. Food here reflects this blend of tradition, with sauerkraut being just as popular as crepes. During your visit walk the many markets, sample the various foods in the cafes and stalls and be sure to visit the amazing cathedral with some of the most impressive examples of stained glass in Europe.
