Ludwigsburg Christmas Fantasy

Before we visit the town of Ludwigsburg, we make a delicious detour to visit the home of Ritter Sport Chocolate. This is home to the nutty, creamy, fruity, sometimes crispy but always most delicious chocolate square, famous well beyond our German borders. Our visit here begins with an interactive tour showcasing the high-quality raw ingredients that go into these delicious chocolate confection cubes. Before we depart, Ritter Sport invites you to visit their fully loaded chocolate shop where you can shop to your heart's sweet content for on tasty treats for the holidays and stocking stuffers for friends and family.  

Next, we are off to the Baroque Christmas Market in Ludwigsburg where more than 150 vendors are waiting to share their lovingly handcrafted treasures and tasty snacks such as chestnuts, waffles, Christmas cookies and more.  The perfect Christmas atmosphere is created here with the beautifully decorated Christmas booths situated under the sparkly angel wings encircling the entire market and the nostalgic accompaniment of various holiday-themed musical entertainment featured on the main stage.

When the sun sets and twilight eases into to evening it is time for a special dose of Christmas magic and a visit to the luminous dream path in an ornate baroque garden park. Here, the warm glow of thousands of Christmas lights awaits in the illuminated park along with sound effects, whisps of mist, water installations and shimmering bubbles. You will be transported to a wonderous dream world where you can stroll, take beautiful pictures at each location or simply enjoy the visual effects that bring a special evening mood to the gardens and this amazing trip before we return home to Ramstein.
