General Information & Specials

Traveling with the trains around Europe is pretty easy and usually not very expensive. Prices depend on where you want to go and how many people are travelling, as well as availability.   This page only gives a short introduction in train prices and specials. Of course we can also check for accommodation along with the train tickets.

Plan&Save -  The earlier you start planning the more you can save
From now on you can travel much cheaper: If you buy your tickets at least three days in advance you can save up to 50% off the regular price.

Travel together – Save together
5 people riding together travel on a  companion fare. It does not matter whether you travel with your family or friends, travel together means saving together.

The new BahnCard costs less -  and you can now do much more with it!
As of August 1st 2003 you can get three different BahnCards. The BahnCard25 which gives you a 25% discount on all available rebates! With the BahnCard25 you can lower the price of regular tickets as well as Plan&Save-prices and companion discount.

For people that are mainly travelling alone the BahnCard50 is an interesting saving.  It allows you a discount of 50% on the regular fares, without booking in advance. So you can be flexible and save!   The BahnCard100 allows you free travel on all german routes, and it is a great opportunity for those who spend      more than €3000 for german train travel per year.

Family travel is particularly favourable – Children   under 14 years travel free!
Benefit from the new family discount system  (Familienregelungen): Children under 14 travel free of charge in Germany when travelling with their parents or grandparents.

RTT can also provide train tickets for travel within European countries. There are the Euro Domino tickets, which provide train travel for 3 or more days within one country (available for most of the European countries) or the Interrail tickets, which allow you to travel within one or more zones of Europe.
