Overview: Celebrate Christmas the RTT
way! Experience the joy of a Rhineland Christmas Market with local
specialties, music and festivities to round out the day. We have a direct
bus, with afternoon departure and no transfer.
Itinerary:
From points of origin in
the KMC, travel directly to Ruedesheim on the Rhine. It may be the small
town with the big name, but Ruedesheim is the best known town along the
Rhine, where you can walk through the world-famous “Drosselgass”, taste
wines at various wine cellars, and visit a number of interesting museums.
And its Christmas Market has a distinct international flair!
After arrival in Ruedesheim take the chairlift with comfortable cabins high
above the vineyards and the river valley all the way up to the Niederwald
Monument (included) while daylight still permits. Experience the magic of
Christmas lights glittering along the riverbanks. The international
Christmas Market is a gem in the winter crown of Ruedesheim! At their more
than 120 vendors, guests find many of the large and small gifts they have
been looking for.
After strolling through the Christmas Market and experiencing the local
charm of Ruedesheim, stop into a restaurant to enjoy local wines, beers and
good winter fare. Then enjoy popular German Christmas music in various
venues to tingle your senses and jingle your feet! The city along the Rhine
makes your Noel night an adventure with a life-size Nativity display in the
Market Square. At 6 p.m., Ruedesheim’s Kristkind visits with surprises for
the children. St. Thomas Night festivities close out the evening..
Our estimated
time of arrival at point of origin is approximately 10:30 p.m..
