Overview:
Bring your Valentine and celebrate the day with a castle tour ,
cruise on the Rhine River, and a romatic German meal. We have a direct
bus, with no transfer.
Itinerary: From our points of origin in the KMC, we travel directly to Burg
Reichenstein, one of the oldest castles on the Rhine. This 11th
century robber knight’s castle has been destroyed and rebuilt at least three
times!
Perched on a rocky ridge, its mighty wall and defensive towers
contributed to the strength of its position on the Rhine. Valuable period
furniture and an extensive collection of arms and armor are on display.
After the castle tour (included), we travel by bus to the Rhine River where
we will board our ship. Then we enjoy a cruise through the most scenic part
of the Rhine valley, with explanations in English of the historic sites and
castles.
Once we are ashore, our
bus drives along the picturesque Rhine shore to our restaurant. There enjoy
a three-course candlelight meal (included) in the restaurant’s historic wine
cellar. Your first beverage (included) will be served to welcome you.
We return to
the points of origin at approximately 1030 pm
