Overview: Bring Mom
or Dad and celebrate their day with a castle tour , cruise on the Rhein
River, and a festive German meal. We have a direct bus, with no transfer.
From our points of origin in the KMC, we travel directly to Burg
Reichenstein, one of the oldest castles on the Rhine. This 11th
century robber knight’s castle has been destroyed and rebuilt at least three
times! Perched on a rocky
ridge, its mighty wall and defensive
towers contributed to the strength of its position an the Rhine. Valuable
period furniture and an extensive collection of arms and armor are on
display.

After the castle tour (included), we travel by bus to the Rhine River where
we will board our ship. Then we enjoy a cruise through the most
scenic part of the Rhine valley, with explanations in English of the
historic sites and castles.
Once we are ashore, our bus drives along the picturesque
Rhine shore to our
restaurant. There we will enjoy the feast (included) prepared especially
for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
Following lunch, we’ll visit Rüdesheim, the best known town along the Rhine,
where we will walk through the world-famous “Drosselgass”.
