As winter's chill fades and the suns warmth awakens the fertile earth, Europe comes alive with color, festivities, and amazing travel opportunities!

In Holland the tulips emerge, blooming brightly in a rainbow of vibrant shades, inspiring a renewed sense of optimism and joy.  To experience the full effect of this stunning flower power, there is no better place to visit than the Keukenhof Spring Gardens.  From late March through early May, a brilliant display of tulips, crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths, freesia, chrysanthemums, roses, and other brilliant perennials blanket the 70 acre Garden’s in a vivid display of color, texture and sweet floral aromas.  RTT’s Tulip Express trip runs every Saturday throughout the blooming season, and also takes you to a family-run cheese farm for breakfast followed by a cheese and wooden shoe-making demonstration, a day of true Dutch delights!

The wonders of spring in Europe also include the chance to visit several fantastic Easter Markets and experience an age-old tradition in a totally new way.  German Ostereier (Easter Eggs) are a collector's dream, created using a variety of methods from simple dying and painting to elaborate Hessian or Sorbian designs, painstakingly applied by hand the the delicate shells of hollowed-out eggs.  Easter Markets are the perfect place to assemble ornaments to make your first Osterbaum (Easter Tree), enjoy the Osterbrunnen, decorative crowns of flowers that adorn city fountains, and sample your first Osterbrot, a sweet yeast-raised braided bread.  Easter Markets offer a range of Easter eggs, flowers, sweet treats, a variety of festive decor, and, of course, the Osterhase (Easter Bunny), a custom that can be traced back hundreds of years to Heidelberg, Germany.
