Q.  I am planning a trip to Paris, will RTT be able to make my hotel reservations?

A.  Yes, RTT can provide reservation services worldwide. In situations like this we encourage people to come to our office and participate in the planning whenever possible. This will enable you to go through the brochures with one of our agents and get exactly what you want, as there are so many possibilities in hotel accommodations.

Q.  I am trying to plan a group event. Can RTT assist me in finding accommodations for my entire group?

A. Yes. We can do even better than that. We can provide a bus charter as well or even help you plan a special group tour and provide a tour guide.  Have a look in our tours section under Customized Group Tours.

Flights

Q. Do you arrange flights all over the world or only to the United States?

A. Yes.  We only have our Super Saver Airfares traveling to the USA listed on this web site as they are the most frequently requested fares, but we can arrange travel for you anywhere by plane.

Q.  What does availability mean and how does it effect the price of a plane ticket?

A. All of our prices and ability to book at those prices are contingent on seat availability. There are only so many seats available in certain price categories, and naturally, the seats that are cheaper fill a lot faster. That means that once those seats are full we will no longer be able to offer you the lowest price, however our agents are masterful at searching for other inexpensive ways for you to get where you want to go.

Q.  Do you offer flights out of Ramstein, or MAC flight service?

A.  No, RTT deals only with commercial carriers, and with that we have no privileges on military aircraft or using military air base flight services. We can arrange last minute, call and fly and same day service with any commercial carrier from any airport.

Q.  Do you deal with Space A travel.

A.  No. What we do offer is the next best alternative. With our call and fly same day service at bargain prices we can get you back in time if you can’t get your Space A flight. We are a 10-minute walk from the MAC terminal on Ramstein Airbase, we can issue you your tickets and help you find a shuttle service that will get you to Frankfurt International Airport in time for your flight.

Q. I want to book a flight for a relative in the United States to come and visit me in Europe are they eligible to use tickets provided by RTT.

A. Anyone who has a military ID card or US passport is eligible to use the services provided by RTT.

Q.  I live in the USA and want to purchase a ticket from RTT, how can I do this?

A.  You can make the reservation on-line through the use of our Flight Inquiry System or by phone with your credit card, and we will UPS the tickets to you for an additional fee.

Bus Tours

Q. Do you have any special tours over the Winter Holidays, Easter, Spring Break etc?

A. Yes! RTT is a booking agent for many different tour companies, who always have special tours for all occasions- see the seasonal tours in our Tours Section. You can also join our mailing list and be notified as new and seasonal tours become available via email.

Q.  What does the bus tour confirmation mean?

A.   For a tour to be confirmed a minimum participation is needed.  We urge all clients to book in advance, at the latest 4 days prior to the tour departure. For example, whether or not a tour will be confirmed is decided three days prior to the tour departure. If a minimum participation level has not been reached, the tour will be cancelled. (If more people were to book earlier, the participation level would rise  high enough to prevent the tour from being cancelled. Many people wait until the last minute to book the tour they want, and had they booked several days earlier, they would have been the additional passengers needed to meet the minimum participation level).

Q.  The tour I wanted to go on was cancelled and I have already paid.

A.  You will receive a full refund.

Q.  Will the tour guide speak English?

A.  Yes, all of RTT and all the bus tour companies RTT contracts provide English speaking guides.

Q.  I want to plan a special group trip, can RTT do this?

A. Yes, we can provide custom tours, or a bus and driver depending on your needs, see our group tours section.

Payment

Q.  How can I pay for services and tickets I purchase through RTT?

A.  If you come to our office you can pay by Visa, MasterCard, money order, travelers check, cash (Euro's or dollar) or personal check (active duty and family member military ID card holders only). If you are making a reservation by phone or email, full payment or partial payment is required and secured through credit card only.

Q. I want to make a reservation by phone or email but I don’t have a credit card.

A. Phone and email reservations can only be processed with the use of a credit card.

Q. Do you do electronic bank transfers?

A. No.

Q.  What services does RTT offer?

A.  RTT offers all services associated with any travel office you have dealt with in the past, in addition be able to tailor our services to a military community. Our services include the following:

Q.: Do you have to be an ID card holder to use RTT services?

A: No, but many of our services run under the presumption that you will be using a US tourist passport, and for some services a US tourist passport and/or military ID card is mandatory.  If you are not a US passport or valid Military ID card holder it is your reasonability to inform RTT.

Q.I am panning a trip, and want to know about distances and time of travel, will RTT be able to provide me with this information?

A.  RTT unfortunately does not have this kind of information on hand. A great resource for this is Microsoft’s AutoRoute Europe available at most military computer and software outlets. Our clients have reported it as being an invaluable tool while planning trips in Europe.

Q.  Does RTT provide maps and information on Europe and it’s highlights.

A.   No. These are available for purchase at all BookMarks and military gas stations.

Q.  Can I buy tickets to Paris Disney or other theme parks through RTT.

Q. Where is RTT located?

A.  We are located in the KMC Center, Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany.

Q.  What countries do I need visas or passports to enter.

A. Eurom form 80 has been phased out, so traveling Europe using an ID is highly discouraged.  ID cards will not be accepted at European borders as valid migration and travel documentation.  For this reason follow the policy that you need a valid US tourist passport to travel on our tours.
